The Programme

Current UK legislation provides that everyone involved in food handling, as part of their job role should be training in food safety and food hygiene at least to level 2. This level 3 programme provides progression for those learners who may have a more supervisory role in respect of food safety and hygiene.

To enable learners to understand the importance of maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene and to supervise food handling staff and activities to ensure a high standard of food safety and hygiene. It is the first level three qualification at 60 GLH on the Learning Aims Database.
