This NVQ has been developed for those providing support services to individuals receiving health care and where no other NVQ sits comfortably. It was developed by Skills for Health and the Sector Skills Council for health care.

Both Skills for Health and the Sector Skills Council are driving this new NVQ. They have set targets within the Health Service. The materials cover various routes including Portering, Domestic / Cleaning. What is unique about the Cable Educational approach is that it is designed to be delivered as blended learning. This means the college/ training providers assessors visit the candidate's place of work. This method is much appreciated by employers as an efficient way of training staff.
