Current UK legislation provides that everyone involved in food handling, as part of their job role should be training in food safety and food hygiene at least to level 2. The targeted learners are food handlers both at home and in the workplace.

The programme enables learners to understand the importance of food safety and food hygiene to identify risks and to understand how risks can be eliminated or reduced, it introduces the importance of risk assessment and gives the candidates the opportunity of conducting their own risk assessment.
